About

I am a music writer, freelance journalist, artist manager, part-time freelance music PR, and MA Journalism graduate from Kingston University - with all NCTJ Pre-Entry qualifications (100 words per minute shorthand, Media Law, News Writing, Video Journalism etc) completed - currently looking for work opportunities. I was one of ten students in the UK to receive the NCTJ's Diversity Fund to finance my MA study. I have many years of experience writing for print and online.

I specialise in music writing, particularly in new music and music news. I previously worked as the Deputy Online Editor and social media manager for DIY, and have freelanced for and been published in numerous other publications (Zero Core, London In Stereo, Buzz magazine etc). I also infrequently post new music highlights to my own music blog Basement Fever

I also have experience away from music journalism, having been published in various local newspapers and magazines (The Herald, The Bath Chronicle, Swansea Life magazine) while also working as the social media co-ordinator for local student newspaper Kingston Courier.

You can find my annoying ramblings on Twitter and can also find me on LinkedIn.
