Wild Palms - Until Spring (Album review for Buzz magazine)

Words originally for Cardiff's Buzz magazine and can be found in their March print edition.

Wild Palms are another in a long line of young bands coming in at the time of post-punk popularity; essentially they spent their teens listening to The Maccabees before recently discovering the likes of My Bloody Valentine. Although Until Spring is vocally and lyrically a little bit weak, instrumentally it’s very good - all bent and distorted delicious guitar lines. On the whole this is a decent listen, Wild Palms fairing better than most of their chart-aspiring, Joy Division imitating peers.
